LeBron James, number one draft pick in 2003 (by the Cleveland Cavaliers) is a well-known superstar NBA player. Dominating in all facets of the game, the basketball star is legendary and has won Rookie of the Year as well as many championships. However, when he isn’t on the court, James’ lesser-known hobby is collecting super sick cars.
With his net worth, it is not at all surprising to hear that James has sunk some serious cash into his side hobby. His impressive collection is rumored to be worth over $2.5 million and includes over 15 rare and luxury automobiles ranging in worth from the low $20,000s to over $600,000 a piece.
With all of the impressive rides in LeBron James’ garage to choose from, it is hard to pick just one as the sickest. However, his most expensive car, a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, just might take that prize.
Let’s take a closer look at why the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is the sickest car in LeBron James’ collection!
LeBron James’ Lamborghini Aventador Roadster
Although many wealthy car aficionados own rides with quirky, beautiful, or unique paint jobs, LeBron James’ custom designed Lamborghini Aventador Roadster takes it a step beyond. The car is wrapped in a print of Mediterranean flowers in hues of soft green and pink. The costly ride was designed.
Made as a special commission from Lou La Vie, an exotic car rental company, the Aventador was dubbed the “Reverse King’s Pride.” The car’s pattern was not simply a preference of James, but was actually made to match the inside of the “LeBron X1 Everglades Kings Pride” basketball shoes, designed through a partnership between LeBron James and Nike.
While the interesting design of the car might not be for everyone, beneath the custom color is a car estimated to cost around $670,000. With a V12, 6.5-liter engine capable of reaching 60+MPH (100 km/h) in just three seconds, there is no denying that the heart of this car is still a true Lamborghini and definitely no denying that having a car to match the footwear that you designed with Nike is incredibly sick.
What Else Is In LeBron James’ Garage?
Although the Lamborghini is the most expensive ride (and also the sickest) in LeBron James’ garage, it isn’t parked alone. It is parked among some other heavy hitters in the car collection world. With over $2 million in engine power in his possession, it comes as no surprise to find that James has a wide array of cars to pick from each morning.
One of the “cheaper” rides that has graced LeBron’s collection is a fully restored Chevy Impala. The 1975 classic comes in priced between $25,000 and $30,000 today. Although the car is not worth anything near that of the Lamborghini, there is something to be said about respecting the classics, and James clearly has good taste.
James’ sense of style can also be seen in his custom whited-out 2010 Chevy Camaro SS (one of the most loved cars for enthusiasts). The car is painted mostly white, with white bumpers, grills, and even rims. Anything on the vehicle that isn’t white is black, making for a beautiful and classy look that set the player back at least $40,000 before the custom paint and wheels.
Demonstrating a clear affinity for power and going fast, James’ collection has also included a Dodge Challenger SRT with custom white and blue paint, a Ferrari F430 and Ferrari 458 Spider that are both able to jump to 60+MPH (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, a Porsche 911 Turbo S with dual turbochargers capable of over 185 MPH (300 km/h), and a Ferrari 599 that has over 600 horsepower and can reach speeds of over 210 MPH (340 km/h).
Whatever doesn’t go fast or look particularly pretty in James’ collection is definitely dripping in luxury upgrades. He clearly likes to ride in style and has shown off his luxury choices in the form of a KIA K900 that cost upwards of $60,000. As a KIA luxury car ambassador, it makes sense that he would pick one of their classiest rides to add to his own collection.
Other notable luxurious cars in James’ collection include a Bentley Continental GT worth over $200,000, a Mercedes-Maybach S650 worth over $225,000 and equipped with a V8 engine and dual turbochargers, a Mercedes-Maybach 57S worth over $410,000 equipped with a V12 engine and with the custom license plate reading “KNG OF OH” (“King of Ohio”), and the epitome of high-class: a Rolls-Royce Phantom worth over $500,000.
With a whole host of amazing cars ranging from personal and personalized favorites to speed demons to luxury rides, LeBron James has really fleshed out his garage to suit his style and preferences. His car collection is clearly one to envy, but the flashiest and sickest ride has to be his shoe-matched custom Lamborghini Aventador Roadster.
